Young people from Amplify Mindworks and Mindworks professionals came together to promote the Mindworks service to children, young people and their families.
On Saturday May 14 at Sandown Racecourse, Amplify hosted a two part event to raise the profile of the Mindworks service to children, young people and their families.
Surrey families enjoyed finding out more about the service at a family wellbeing festival, with free food and drink stands including pizza, coffee and ice cream, information stands featuring colleagues’ work from across the alliance, performances from young gymnasts and a bouncy castle.
The family wellbeing festival was followed by a panel talk with experts from across the alliance: Freya Selman, Amplify lead, Jess Thom, programme director, Ann Kenney, independent chair and Graham Wareham, CEO of SABP.
Freya Selman, Amplify lead, said: “I’m so proud of the event that Amplify managed to create. From not even knowing one another this time last year, the group worked so hard and really pulled together as a team to put on an event that embodied the message of hope and empowerment we wanted to get across.
“I also want to say a massive thank you to the Mindworks leadership team who helped us make the event what it was, we couldn’t have done it without them. Here’s to many more Amplify and Mindworks successes!”
A guest commented: “The event felt really friendly and inclusive, it was lovely to be a part of.”
Another guest commented: “What a lovely event, as a family we all had a wonderful day. We met some lovely people and heard some inspirational stories.”
