Mindworks Surrey is raising awareness about emotional wellbeing support available to children, young people and their parents in Surrey this Eating Disorder Awareness Week (February 28 – March 4).
An eating disorder is a mental health condition where you use the control of food to cope with feelings and other situations.
This may include eating too much or too little or worrying about your weight or body shape.
Anyone can get an eating disorder, but teenagers between 13 and 17 are the main group to be affected.
Find helpful and free resources on our website to support children, young people and their families struggling with an eating disorder diagnosis.
You can also talk in confidence to an advisor from eating disorders charity Beat by calling their helpline on 0808 801 0677.
