Service Description
High Hopes is a six-eight week early intervention programme delivered to young people aged 10-16 years in Elmbridge and Runnymede, created to build peer and family relationships, resilience, and confidence. Eikon works in partnership with Surrey Outdoor Learning and Development (SOLD) to provide emotional well-being support to young people and their families by combining outdoor pursuits alongside evidence-based practices.
Examples of activities and outcomes:
- Session 1 & 6 as below:
- Parenting workshop: knowledge - teaching, learning; social - building relationships, young person and parent; trust - communication
- High ropes: social - communication; physical - movement, coordination
- Climbing Wall: emotional - positivity, confidence, resilience
- Challenge Course – social – communication, resilience, and problem solving
- Paddleboarding: social - communication
physical - movement, coordination - Kayaking: social - trust communication; physical – movement, coordination; emotional – positivity, confidence
- Sessions 2 – 5; 121- support from qualified mental health practitioner focussing on CYP individual well-being needs
