Compliance Status

This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1 AA standard, due to the non-compliances listed below.

We are actively working to enhance the accessibility of our website. We use Silktide – an autonomous tool - that scans our website for content and accessibility issues and are running weekly audits to help us identify and correct problems.

When using our website, you should be able to:

  • Change colour contrast levels and text size using the ‘accessibility tools’ toolbar at the bottom of each page
  • Navigate most of the website using a keyboard
  • Zoom in up to 400% without the text spilling off the screen
  • Navigate most of the website using speech recognition software
  • Listen to most of the website using a screen reader

AbilityNet has advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability.

Non-compliance with accessibility regulations

Ensure text has sufficient contrast
To comply with WCAG AA, the colour of text must sufficiently contrast with its background colour, so that people with moderate visual impairments can read it. We have begun reviewing this and are working with the website developers to resolve this issue. This will be corrected by July 2024.

Ensure form controls contrast sufficiently with their surroundings
Form controls must appear distinct from their surroundings to be clearly visible to people with visual impairments. We are addressing this issue with our developers and will have an update by July 2024.

Write lists or groups of links semantically
Lists of related items should be coded appropriately to support assistive technology. We are working on updating the website coding to improve navigation for assistive technology users and will have an update by July 2024.

Preparation of this accessibility statement

This statement was prepared on 13 June 2024. It was last reviewed on 13 June 2023 and will be reviewed again on 13 June 2025
The statement was prepared following an audit of the website using Silktide and engagement with our web developer. The website is tested weekly using Silktide.
