Who we are
Amplify is the Shadow Leadership Board for Mindworks Surrey (Surrey’s Children, Young People’s Emotional Wellbeing and Mental Health Service). This means that we are expected to attend meetings and be involved in decision-making at the highest levels of Mindworks. Our main purpose is to diversify the voices in these meetings to make sure that the voices of children and young people are included in key decision-making. As such, there is an expectation the Amplify members will be available to join Board meetings on rotation where possible (usually on Mondays or Tuesdays).
Amplify also chooses 1-2 focus areas each year which form the basis of our work, and we aim to work with senior leadership to improve the experience of children and young people in these areas.
We run 1-2 engagement events per year, which are fully decided upon and organised by Amplify with the support of Mindworks board members and the programme team.
Interested in joining?
Amplify members should be aged 16-25, however, we accept applications from 15-year-olds if a supported transition process would be helpful.
When we meet
Amplify currently meet Wednesday evenings 18:30-20:00 on Teams, with occasional ad-hoc in-person meetings.
